After their disspointing lose versus America Nepal were plugged in in the field for the match against Denmark where they got a victory.IN UAE t-20 World Cup Selection tournament ,Nepal started their campaign with a victory by defeating Denmark by 5 wickets. Denmark gave the target of just 80 runs where Nepali players got their destiny in 13.1 over by losing 5 wickets. After a bad opening Nepali Captain Paras Khadka did a little good job and was also supported by Subash Khakurel. In their bad opening the opener Pradid Aire was out at just four balls in the starting of the game at zero runs and in the second over in the first ball Vice-Captain Gyanendra Malla was also duck Out . Nepal opened their run ledger in the fourth ball of second over.
For Nepal Captain Paras hat the highest with 5 sixes and a four . Paras did a sixty-four partnership with Subash who was out in 16 runs . Binod Bhandari, a replacement on Paras was gone at zero diassapointing Nepali Audience. Sharad Bheswakar(5) and Sagar Pun(2) were on the crease when Nepali gained a victory.
In the first Innings Denmark won the toss and Started batting first. They become all-out before two balls remaining to end the match.
For Nepal in Balling side Sagar Pun gave 12 run in 3 overs and took 3 wicket . Basant Regmi did 204 overs and gave 5 runs and took 2 wicket and Jitendra Mukhiya too claimed 2 wickets in 3 overs by adding 16 runs in the Denmark's side. Sakti Gauchan and Paras too took a wicket each. Amrit Bhattarai bowled 3 overs and gave 10 runs with null wicket.Nepal will play with Kenya at Saturday.
The peformance of the team was not so satisfactorily. Team must give more importance to Batting Line Up where the Top Oder Batsman are not able to make their Audience happy with their bat. In their group there are strong team and if Nepal gives same performance in the tournament than it will be extremely difficult to play the World Cup, which is the dream of Every Nepali Citizen as well as the Players.
In Group B along with Nepal there are others team like Denmark, Kenya, Scotland, Paapua New Guinea, Netherland, Bermuda and Afganistan.
In Group A there are Ireland, Canada, UAE, Namibia, Hong Kong, Uganda, America and Italy. The tournament posses the total of 16 teams where to 6 teams will be able to play the T-20 World Cup in Bangladesh which is going to be held next year.
