International Space Station(ISS) attacked by Viruses

ISS(International Space Station) was attacked by malware causing "virus epidemics" in space, according to Eugene Kaspersky a security expert. Kasperskt the head of the K's Lab told at Canberra Press Club 2013 Australia that before the Int'l Space Station switched from Win Xp to Linux computers, Russian cosmonauts were carrying infected USB Storage devices around the ISS spreading viruses to the other connected computers. 

Malware has done a great damage to the ISS and the reason for their attacks are unknown. But Kaspersky informed that VE(Virus Epidemics) took hold of the computers of the spaces including several numbers of laptops. The main Virus that have been attacking ISS was W32.gammima.AG . The Windows Xp based laptops and Pc's were affected by the same viruses and malwares. After the spread the compromised laptop were brought to reduce the problem in the ISS. A NASA Spokesman said that it is not a frequent occurence but it is not the first time.
